Jackson’s Career Development Office welcomes Charles Wintermeyer. Lunch provided. This would be of specific interest to students who are considering a career in the U.S. State Department’s foreign service. Mr. Wintermeyer will talk about the State Department in general and its organization, the FSO selection process, and then his experiences and what he has enjoyed (and perhaps enjoyed less). He’ll talk about how being an FSO is not 'political,' the Department tries to accommodate spouses working overseas; and, that one can have a variety of assignments despite one's cone. Mr. Wintermeyer’s spouse will be joining us to also share her experiences and the work/life balance of a FSO family.
